Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra (BAAC) has recently organized a fund raising dinner (held on 2nd July 2011) at the Albert Hall, Canberra, ACT. Bangladeshi community members and guests participated in the dinner and extended donation to the Australian based charity organization  "Walk For Life" to support their activities in addressing clubfoot deformity of Bangladeshi children. The Executive Committee's active fund raising effort received overwhelming support, donation & sponsorship from the community and BAAC has donated $6500 to "Walk for Life". A donation of $500 was also made to Canberra based Bangladeshi charity organization "Lets Work For Bangladesh" to assist running their "Canberra-Bangladesh Friendship School in Chorfashion, Bhola. BAAC is very proud of the Canberra community and very pleased to take part in this worthy cause in alleviating the sufferings and improving the life of disadvantaged Bangladeshi children.
