BEN and the Global network of NRB submitted memorandum to UN office, Indian HC, and Bangladesh HC

Bangladesh Environment Network (BEN), the Global network of non-resident Bangladeshis, joined by other Bangladeshi and  other citizens, and their international friends submitted memorandum  to United Nation office, Indian High Commission, and Bangladesh High Commission in Australia  demanding to stop proceeding further with Tipaimukh  Dam project  by India.

This program was organize on 25th May 2012 as a part of Global action in different part of the world Kamrul Ahsan Khan- convener, BEN, Australia and Dr Ajoy Kar, convener, BEN, Canberra, Rebecca Horridge  Convener Climate Action and Sydney Enrize from Climate Justice, Australia address the meeting in front of UN office in Canberra.

Leaders  from gathering met high officials of respective organization and handed memorandum to them. Organizers demanded UN body and Indian Leaders to consider those issues to save the environment and save millions people from catastrophe. Participants carried Banner and Placard highlighting many issues related to river linking, water and environment.
