Bangladesh Environment Network (BEN) is working tirelessly to protect Bangladesh from environmental degradation which poses a serious challenge for the nation. Overcoming this challenge, BEN requires unity of environmental experts and activists, and a strong civic movement with participation from all citizens.

BEN entirely depends on contribution and voluntary labour of members, supporters and sympathizers. BEN Canberra Chapter is setting up a fundraising and information stall in Boisakhi Mela on Saturday, 16 April 2011 at CIC starting at 10am.

BEN requests all members attending the Mela to visit their stall to get to know its various activities, and participate in BEN's 2011 annual fundraising. [Please visit BEN website (http://www.BEN-Global.org ) for fundraising details]

BEN encourages community members to volunteer at the stall. Should you be interested in, please contact either Dr Ajoy Kar (0422 340 462) or Dr Nilufar Jahan (0432 800 503) for details of the voluntary work at the BEN stall.
