Another Successful Community Awareness Program organized by Bangladeshi Doctors' Forum In Victoria

Another successful community awareness program was organized by Bangladeshi Doctors' Forum In Victoria "Open Forum 2009"  held on the 8th of November 2009 at The Oakleigh Mechanic Hall.  The Honourable High Commissioner of the People's Republic of Bangladesh for Australia, NZ and Fiji HE Lt. General Masud Uddin Chowdhury and Begum Masud Uddin Chowdhury attended the program.  The program was a very interacitve one and thoroughly enjoyed and participated by distinguished members of the community.  Two important public health issues were discussed in two sessions.  The topics were: "Toxic Materials in Food and Medicine in Bangladesh" currently a well discussed problem in Bangladesh and "Living with Diabetes in Australia" about a wide spread chronic disease diabetes mellitus in Bangladeshi migrant population in Australia.
