re the BANGLA FESTIVAL 2012 held at Tempe Reserve - do you have any idea of the excessive disgusting appalling amount of litter and destruction left behind in the park after your event? it had to be cleaned up by local residents and volunteers. the mess was indescribable, the turf was cut up and gouged, there was string and tinsel and various fibres that birds can become entangled around their feet (leading to agony and death.) it is totally irresponsible to hold such a big event and not to conduct considerate responsible litter clean up operations regularly throughout the event, as well as after - also you should inform your patrons to clean up after themselves and not litter a beautiful park that is for the enjoyment of EVERYONE. I and other residents will be writing to Marrickville Council about the conditions left by your festival, and requesting that permission be denied for any future events by your organisation.
