World Environment Day 2011 Invitation from BEN, Australia
In Canberra, Bangladesh Environment Net Work, Australia is observing the World
Environment Day 2011 highlighting United Nations Environment Program (UNEP)’s
slogan for this year as: “Forests: Nature at your
Service”.
Bangladesh Environment Net Work Australia will be joining following Event
Scheduled in observance World Environment Day in Canberra and other part of
Australia where possible. Member of BEN and Environment
lover people will join the event to protect Environment in Australia, Bangladesh

3 June 2011: Friday
BEN Australia is taking part in ACT Government’s World Environment Day
celebration to raise community awareness scheduled at Garema Place and City Walk
from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
4th June, 2011 , Saturday
Community Planting Day, The new wetlands are nearly complete. Come along to be
part of the planting. June 4th, 2011 11:00 am through  03:00 PM ,Corner of

BEN Australia is joining the Crowd Walk across Commonwealth Bridge to Parliament
House to express BEN’s concern at the need for immediate action on global
climate change in Australia, Bangladesh and around
the world Location: Gather at Regatta Point Time: The walk begins 1.30pm
13 th June 2011: Monday (Public Holiday)
BEN Australia is organizing a discussion meeting highlighting the importance of
World Environment Day 2011 followed by a Film Show. BEN is expecting Diplomats,
UNEP delegates, academics, environmental
activists and members from the local community will be participating in the
discussion.
Venue: Bangladesh High Commission, Hall Room, Canberra.

Time: 3.30pm- 5.30pm.
