Global solutions in Canberra - Rebecca Horridge

Australia and Bangladesh share great vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. Groups like Climate Action Canberra and the BEN are working alongside people from all over the word trying to stop climate change occurring and finding ways to adapt to the crisis. We are all sharing this journey but it is not a fair playing field. Bangladeshis are small emitters but will suffer large impacts of coastal and delta flooding.

Meeting Bangladeshis living in Canberra makes the dilemma seem closer. We can see we are friends across an ocean facing the same huge battle. Interest sparks in learning more about the best way for Bangladesh to respond and what Australia can do to support.

Climate change can sometimes seems like an overwhelming frightening concept. By working together we can maximise and join our strengths to find local and global solutions.
