A fallen Tree! - Shashanka Das
A fallen Tree!
I’ve been leaving at a house for year three
There was a big Eucalyptus tree.
It was an iconic tree in the city
It looked from far distance, pretty.
The tree was home of many birds.
They were Cockatiels, Parrots, Doves,
Moynas, Magpies, Lorikeets & others
They sang, twittered all the days,
sitting on the leaves-full stems.
We found a piece of village,
In the city of black balloons.
It made our environment ecological balanced.
It increased our city’s greenery which is urgent.
The tree absorbed our emitted carbon gas
Gave plenty of Oxygen to live us.
The tree was my friend in my solitary life,
I loved it very much.
The tree awoke me in the morning of idleness
I talked to it through my windows.
Once on my day off-
I came back from Library finishing my job.
I saw at our back yard, a fallen tree!
That was my loving friend.
cut down to make the yard free!!
Everything was finished
just by swirl of a chain-saw.
I was screaming,
mourned birds were murmuring.
